My friend’s dog peed on my sheepskin rug. Awesome. So I have the specific sheepskin detergent, and will hand-wash the sheepskin per the instructions for the detergent, but am worried the unsealed leather backing will become stiff after washing. Is this the correct product to use post-wash (on the back of the rug, not on the wool), and if so, how do you use it, please? Can it be applied by hand? I’d prefer not to put the rug in the washing machine if possible. Thank you!
