I have a very greedy 10 month old Labrador who finishes her food in approximately 45 seconds resulting in frequent hiccups. I purchased the Ruffwear Basecamp Bowl and Slow Feeder Insert and it is simply magic. I feed raw food to my dog, so it is very easy to poke the food between the pockets. The silicon slow feeder insert is tough and durable - hence challenging any dog to really root out the food. This excellent design has since changed the speed at which my dog now eats her food - from 45 seconds - it's now a good 4 minutes - so a total game changer. Prior to putting the bowl and insert into the dishwasher (as both are dishwasher safe), I do remove the insert once she has finished as sometimes there are a few more morsels of food lodged under the insert - so this is seen as an additional treat for my dog. The bowl and insert are not cheap but they work exceptionally well, plus have been built to last. I would have no hesitation in recommending both of these products.
