My 10 month Old Labrador has a habit of splashing / dropping water all over the place when she has a drink from a standard water bowl. I was getting to the point where I was constantly mopping up spills on the floor and my kitchen cupboards and to be honest I was getting rather tired of it. I do like the Ruffwear brand due to its robustness and therefore thought I would give the Basecamp Bowl and Anti Splash Insert a try. I have found that by filling up the water bowl approximately half way and adding the anti splash insert, practically no water was dropped on the floor plus my cupboards were completely dry - so it works very effectively. The only concern I had initially was that it took my dog a good 24 hours to get used to the new bowl as she was not very keen on the silicone insert. Fortunately, this was a brief passing phase and the next day she was perfectly happy to use the bowl to have a drink. The Bowl and insert are very easy to keep clean, both are dishwasher proof and ultimately the water bowl with the anti splash insert and food bowl with the slow feeder insert look very smart in the kitchen and have both totally changed how my dog eats and drinks. I would have no hesitation in recommending any of the Ruffwear Basecamp range - I am personally delighted with my purchases - they have been worth every penny.
