ReguTum™ Gastrointestinal Powder is a concentrated formula which assists in the long-term management of gastrointestinal conditions in cats & dogs to promote normal digestive function & health of the intestinal tract. The palatable chicken flavoured powder boasts a comprehensive selection of ingredients for maximum support:
Rich numbers of probiotics rapidly populate the intestinal tract with beneficial bacteria which support digestive function & the gut’s unique immune system, while helping to keep levels of bad bacteria at bay.
A specially selected spectrum of prebiotics nourish cells within the intestinal tract and encourage the growth of a range of beneficial bacteria to help balance the natural microflora of the gut.
Diosmectite is a natural binding agent that helps to normalise the consistency of stools. It helps to absorb toxins & bad bacteria, while also supporting the barrier of the intestinal lining.
Vitamin B12 (Cobalamin) is included as this is often deficient in intestinal disorders, especially long-term problems.
Using the included scoop, feed daily mixed into food or water for long-term management, or as needed until restoration is achieved.

Have only been using about half the recommended amount for five days, it has been working really well. Just sprinkled on food, dog doesn't notice. Perfect poops.

Great product apart from the Brewers Yeast causing discolouration to fur and increased face rubbing. Am now looking for a suitable alternative.

ReguTum has been magical turning a traumatised dog with continual runny jellied stools to having normal consistency twice a day on walks evacuations. Happily rolling in the grass and leaves with joy and her coat shining with health. However after five weeks after a long car journey this week and bravely spending a day with many young children strange to her it was all too much and next day she has digressed to the messing in house and garden. This is just a lesson learned to keep on with the ReguTum which hopefully will help her again by tomorrow.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding ReguTumā¢ Gastrointestinal Powder for Cats & Dogs, including answers from our team.

Hi would this help to also firm up my cats stool? She has a very sensitive tummy so like the gastrointestinal benefits it has but also want it help firm her up
This supplements aims to normalise the gut environment and so should improve stool consistency as it does this. It doesn't have a stool firmer within specifically though, if this is your primary aim then I recommend ReguTum Fibre Care Powder instead.

My rescue dog is currently on pitch and mutt dry kibble for sensitive stomach which I believe contains probiotics. Is it safe to give this product alongside
Yes, these two products will be safe for use alongside each other. They both contain Brewers Yeast so you may be doubling up on this ingredient. However probiotics are very safe and it is very hard to overdose on them.

I recently adopted a 2 yr old male sphynx who has been having some digestive issues, his stools are fairly okay in morning, soft but formed, but get progressively looser during the day and on occasions bordering on diarrhea. At times he can't make it to the litter tray and will just go where he is, even in his bed. I've tried wet food mixed with rice and dry food, same brand as previous owner give him, even resorted to diarrhea medication. Tests on stools all came back normal. According to previous owner, he didn't have any digestive issues, but not certain how truthful they are being. He has at least 6 bowel movements a day. He drinks a lot of water, around 400ml a day
My vet suggested pro kolin, but would it be better to give the gastrointestinal powder instead.
If your vet suggested Pro Kolin then they are suggesting a probiotic gut supplement. ReguTum Gastrointestinal powder is a good choice for diarrhoea cases and it can be used safely in the long term.
You may wish to initially try a stool firmer such as ReguTum Paste instead, then moving onto this powder. However you should follow your vet's advice primarily.

My dog is on Panzyme for EPI and we also use Tree Barks Powder. Iāve been reading that he could have SID and to also try adding probiotic.
Could this be used if he drops the Tree Barks? Using alongside his Panzym?
I am unsure what you mean by 'SID'? This abbreviation is usually used in veterinary medicine to mean 'once daily'.
A probiotic is a good idea for most kinds of intestinal issues, to help settle the normal gut flora. ReguTum Gastrointestinal powder is a good choice as it also contains ingredients like vitamin B12 to help support normal gut function. It can be safely used alongside Panzym. It is always recommended to run any new additions to the diet past your vet first though if being treated for a specific condition, just in case it interferes with their treatment plan.

Is this suitable for young puppies?
This supplement is safe in puppies as long as they are weaned.
Sarah
Hi
Would this help improve motality and reduce excess acid? I want to use something more natural for my cat.
Heās been on omeprazole for a few weeks but Iāve read there can be side effects with long term use. Heās also currently on emeprid (metoclopromide).
Thank you
If you are treating mainly to reduce excess acid, for example with acid reflux, then probiotic powders like this can help but not as well as prescription meds like omeprazole. ReguTum Gastrointestinal powder contains ingredients to help support normal intestinal function and motility. This may not reduce excess acid production in the stomach and so may not be specifically beneficial for your pet.
I suggest following your vet's advice closely on how to manage this. Considering the diet can help too, ensuring the stomach is not empty for prolonged periods of time.

Would this be suitable for a border Collie that has regular flare ups of pancreatitis?
A probiotic gut supplement is useful for supporting gut issues like this. Chronic pancreatitis can be set off by even the slightest diet changes so it is worth running the use of a supplement like it past your vet though.
Ellen
Is this the same as panzym powder and suitable for dog with e.p.I?
This is not a pancreatic enzyme supplement and so it not suitable for supplementing for dogs with EPI. It is a probiotic supportive supplement for the intestines that is useful for long term intestinal issues.

Ia this the same composition as protexin prebiotic enterogeic. I cannt seem to buy it anymore and wondered if this is exactly the same ingredients thanka
Yes, our ReguTum Gastrointestinal Powder is very similar. I have copied the ingredients for both products and highlighted the shared ingredients in bold. If these are the main ingredients you are using the product for, and your pet has no known allergies to the ingredients within ReguTum, then it is a suitable swap.

Is this suitable for a dog with IBD ?
On royal canine hy o allegiance and low steroids
Yes this can help with Inflammatory Bowel Disease, however it does contain chicken flavouring which may interfere with a diet trial if your pet has been started on one. It is therefore worth running the use of the product past your vet first before use. This is just in case an intolerance to chicken is part of the IBD itself.
