A few years ago one of my cats had a urinary stone scare and she's been eating this since then and never had any recurance thankfully. They lick the bowl clean most of the time and they like the dry food too so it's a win win.

I was very pleased with the speedy delivery of this product and its packing, even thought it was so well packed that I broke a nail getting into it!! The cat is not so keen, now that I've got a good supply of it but I have no doubt that he will change his mind in due course. By the way, I don't know how I can rate it for tastiness since I am not going to try it!!!

Cat suffers from urethra blockages so put him on Royal Canin Urinary diet. Started him on this February 2025 after some repeated issues with the urinary tract and so far he is doing well. Very happy with his health since starting on the Royal Canin Urinary diet. I buy both the wet and dry options. A bit more expensive than normal cat food but the emergency vets bills for the urinary issues were very expensive so there is a blance to be had.Cat was always a fussy eater before starting on Royal Canin but he really likes this food and very rarely leaves any.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding ROYAL CANIN® Urinary S/O Adult Wet Cat Food, including answers from our team.

I have a 13yr old slightly obese male cat that was treated for urinary crystals via an catheter.
Is this food OK for this ongoing diet?
This depends on the specific types of urinary crystals your cat is prone to forming. There are multiple urinary diets and picking the wrong one can worsen the problem so it is advised to contact your vet for diet recommendations.
The Urinary S/O diet will help reduce certain types of crystals so it is possible it is the right diet for your pet, but you should check with your vet to be certain.

My cat has had two episodes of urinary incontinence accompanied with a high temperature in the last 12 months. The latest, two weeks ago. Antibiotics have resolved this. Would your urinary s/o wet pouches be safe for her to try? She is also on Metacam and Amodip. Blood test for kidney function are ok.
This depends on the cause of the urinary issues. There are at least 2 types of urinary diet and they will treat different types of urinary issues. I recommend discussing which of the urinary veterinary diets are most appropriate with your vet before starting one.
If the incontinence is related to infections then a urinary diet definitely could help prevent the issue recurring. It is important you choose the right diet though.
