F. B
Is it safe to give my dog these supplements when he is taking vetmedin daily?
To be safer, you might:
Show your vet the full ingredient list of the chews.
Confirm your dog’s heart condition stage, kidney function, liver function, any allergies, and whether Vetmedin is the only medication.
Ask whether the chews’ extra calories or any ingredient might exacerbate symptoms (e.g., fluid retention, appetite, metabolic demands).
Possibly schedule a follow‑up check to ensure no new signs (e.g. increased breathing rate, cough, swelling) after starting the chews.
Give the joint chews at a different time from the Vetmedin dose (if vet agrees), especially if absorption timing for Vetmedin is important.
