Description

ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition Since 1968, Royal Canin has been following the belief that nutrition plays a key role in supporting the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs. This is why we have designed ROYAL CANIN® products around proven nutritional science in partnership with veterinarians, delivering health nutrition for pets with specific health needs.

ROYAL CANIN® Calm dry cat food is a precisely balanced, nutritious diet that is specifically formulated to help support cats during periods of adaptation.

ROYAL CANIN® Calm is suitable for:

  • Supporting cats during difficult situations
  • Supporting cats with associated digestive, skin and urinary signs during difficult situations

Key benefits

  • Calming Support: ROYAL CANIN® Calm contains hydrolysed milk protein and L-tryptophan to help support cats who may be prone to behaviour changes in unusual situations and environments.
  • Hairball Complex: Thanks to a specific blend of fibres, including psyllium, this formula also helps to control the formation of hairballs by helping to eliminate ingested hair through your cat's stools.
  • Skin Barrier: Your cat's skin is its largest organ and acts as an important barrier. In order to support optimal skin health, ROYAL CANIN® Calm is formulated to support the skin's natural protective barrier role.

As part of the ROYAL CANIN® Veterinary Health Nutrition range, it is important that this vet recommended diet is only given to your pet when recommended by a veterinary professional. Transitioning your pet from one diet to another should be a smooth and gradual process over a 7-10-day period. Please ensure you follow the correct rationing amount.

Please note: ROYAL CANIN® Calm Dry cat food is not suitable for growth, gestation or lactation.

I don’t know.
Verified Purchase

By Maureen Taylor on 21 November 2020

I can’t really tell if this has made a difference, because so far it has been mixed with food the cat is used to. He is calmer than he was, but has been taking another product as well, and had a steroid injection from the vet. But I like to give him Royal Canin food, because most cats enjoy it, and it is good quality.

Use with prozac

Hi
My cat is currently on prozac due to spraying issues (tried all sorts of other solutions first, but nothing worked). Is it ok to feed him this diet whilst on this medication?

  • VioVet Staff

This diet should not interact adversely with Prozac or any other similar type of medication.
