Good product, good price BUT lot's of the fat balls were broken and crumbled by the time it came in the post. Disappointing
Customer recommends this product
Excellent products. Our local wild birds love them. Just a small point. Some get damaged in transit rolling about in the box. Suggest some form of packaging to keep them steady............

Out of a box of 60 balls, 45 were whole and the rest were broken up. I expect the problem arises during delivery if the boxes are handled roughly. I shall spread the broken bits on the ground but they wont reach the same types of bird - the wood pigeons will probably hoover them up.

A bit torn as the birds LOVE the fat around the seeds and peanuts but I didn't read the description properly (d'oh!) and now I won't feed these until Autumn/Winter, as the birds are feeding their young right now and peanuts and large seeds are a hazard to the babies. They came crumbled to smithereens in the box though that's likely the supplier's fault for how they package these. Will stick to my usual going forward.

Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Peckish Extra Goodness Energy Fat Balls, including answers from our team.
Alan Born
Has the formular changed as they are not as yellow in colour as they used to be
The color of Peckish Extra Goodness Energy Fat Balls can vary slightly due to natural variations in ingredients and production batches. However, if you've noticed a significant difference in the color (such as a decrease in the yellow tone), it's possible that there have been some changes in the ingredients or formulation.
Typically, the yellowish color comes from ingredients like corn or sunflower seeds, which are rich in oils that give the fat balls their characteristic color. If the product has changed in color, it could be due to a slight change in the source or blend of ingredients, but it doesn’t necessarily mean there has been a major reformulation.
It's also worth considering that variations in natural ingredients can occur from batch to batch, depending on seasonal differences in the crops used. Additionally, if you purchased the product from a new supplier or store, it's possible that they had a different batch or a change in packaging.
If you're concerned or if the birds seem to be reacting differently to the fat balls (e.g., showing less interest or not eating them), it might be helpful to contact the manufacturer or check the product packaging for any recent changes in the formula or ingredients list.
You can reach out directly to Peckish customer service to inquire about any possible formula changes if you're looking for more detailed information.
