We bought these for our Dachshund who has suffered a disc injury and is in danger of scraping his feet. These boots prevent this happening.
Customer recommends this product
Undoubtedly the boots are of good quality and would under normal circumstances be ideal. Unfortunately my collie has a significant neurological condition where he constantly walks with a paw turned underneath meaning the boot makes him worse with the stumbling. I have tried many types and I had high hopes of this brand being the final answer, but not to be.

I use this product daily as my Chow Chow had severe arthritis, she drags her paws which causes them to bleed. The pawz boots protects her from this.

Unfortunately, the product was the wrong thing for my cocker spaniel. She pulled it off within minutes.

The rubber is quite durable and should last at least a few walks on the pavement/road however the sizing is smaller than listed. I bought the XS as this was recommended for a pug however it is very tight around his foot and is difficult to get on. If you are buying, I recommend going at least 1 size up

What size for my female springer
We would best recommend measuring paw size to compare against the size guide.

What size would my nearly 9 year old cocker spaniel need please? Thanks.
Hi Shireen,
The medium size fits up to a 3 inch paw and should fit a cocker spaniel.
For the best fit, measure from the bottom of the big heel pad to the tip of the longest toe nail; If the paw is in-between two sizes, select the larger size.
Hope this helps!

I have a cat with a paralysed back hock that 'knuckles' We have to keep rebandaging it to prevent injury. Would these socks be appropriate and if so, what size? Many thanks.
Hi Sarah,
These may be suitable, although there are no guarantees regarding fit as there are no size guidelines for us to refer to. I would advise going for XXS to start with - if they are wrong you can always go a size up. There is a 'Tiny' option but they are currently out of stock and our supplier is unable to advise when they will be available again.
I hope this helps.

What size would i need for a Jack Russell
The best thing to do would be to measure (in inches) from the bottom of the big heel pad to the tip of the longest toe nail on your dog's paws. We have a size guide in the description tab, which you can then match your dog up to.
As a rough guide, the manufacturer recommends Size Small (2 and a 1/2 inch length) for Jack Russels. If the paw is in-between two sizes, select the larger size.

my lurcher has suffered from a spinal blood clot and currently is unable to put one of her rear paws on the ground properly but walks on her knuckles with the pad turned under. The vet has advised us to get her a boot to protect her foot while she exercises her legs. Would your boot be suitable?
These boots should be a good choice as they are easy to fix in place. If your dog drags its foot, the sock part of the boot might wear out before long, but you will have plenty of spares.
