The Outhwaite Greyhound Coat is a wind and waterproof jacket which has a padded lining for extra warmth and comfort. Each coat has fully taped seamed edges and generous velcro fastenings.
How to measure a dog coat?
Measure from the collar along the back of the dog to the root of the tail. This will give you the measurement you need to purchase your coat. Please bear in mind however, that all dogs are built differently and whilst our generous adjustable velcro straps will cater for most dogs, there are others that will need a more bespoke fitting.
If in doubt, we would always advise that you visit your local pet store for a fitting and expert advice.

Really high quality materials and construction make this about the best sight hound coat I've seen. The fit to the spine, overall shape and resilience of the material mean it gives good protection from strong winds and rain without using the leg straps or (ridiculous) tail loop.
I suppose you can't fit every dog perfectly and my lurcher's chest is so big I would like the velcro belly strap a little further back as it pulls the coat to the rear and had a tendency to the pull open the velcro fastening at the front. I have had two of these coats and in both cases ended up sewing the front velcro in place once I'd found a good fit. After that the fastening is very secure in all weathers and doesn't get out of place no matter how much she runs around.
The material repels water and is good for long walks on the moors. It washes well too. In short the only cold weather coat I need and I fully expect it may last as long as my dog.

Luna is a medium sized lurcher and the 70cm coat fits her well. The coat is warm and cosy with soft but sturdy velcro fastenings. It is great for keeping Luna dry when she is out. An all round great weather proof coat. I'm pleased with it.
