What’s in it?

Saccharomyces Cerevisiae is a live yeast probiotic. We use a protected live yeast, which is capable of withstanding acidic conditions, but will then be broken down in the hindgut releasing the live yeast. Supplementing encapsulated live yeast can have the following benefits for horses:

Supporting microflora in the caecum (hindgut)
Improved fibre digestion
Limiting the overproduction of lactic acid in the caecum
Improved body condition
MOS & Beta-glucans MOS and Beta-glucans are prebiotics, which means they create beneficial effects for resident microbes within the digestive tract.

Brewers Yeast is made from Saccharomyces Cerevisiae and is rich in complex B-vitamins, amino acids and minerals.

Pectin & Lecithin - Pectin-lecithin complexes have been studied in horses to the stomach lining from acid. A study in horses demonstrated that the combination of magnesium hydroxide, a pectin-lecithin complex and Saccharomyces cerevisiae can support a healthy stomach.

MgOH - Magnesium hydroxide when used in combination with a pectin-lecithin formulation and Saccharomyces cerevisiae can support a healthy stomach.

Vitamin C Alongside Vitamin E, Vitamin C is the other major anti-oxidant. Vitamin C capacity also declines with age. Vitamin C has been shown to have a major role in supporting a healthy gastric environment.

Natural Vitamin E has been shown to aid the natural process of reduction of stomach acidity, acid production and gastric acid volume

Organic Selenium is an important co-factor the effective function of antioxidant enzymes and Vitamins such as Vitamin E.
