NAF Biotin Plus is a formula made up of various elements which help to strengthen the horse hooves. Biotin deficiencies have been indicated as one of the causes of weak hooves. This supplement also contains methionine, MSM, zinc and calcium, and a supplementation of 15mg daily has been found to be beneficial to horn growth and strength.

I have 8 horses so large pack is good value. I definitely think the ingredients are good and NAF is reputable where others might not be. My horses health is good but over the years good vitamins and minerals (not overly done) keeps abscesses away and good strong hooves. Laminitis for a few is always a worry so besides keeping weight down and off much grass, I think the biotin mixture contributes to healthy hooves.

I've used NAF Biotin Extra for years for both pony who is barefoot and TB who is shod. Both have good quality feet and farrier is more than happy with the quality of the hoof and the way the feet grow.

the product is designed for horses, but our best advice would be three
level scoops per day to give just over 11mg of biotin. On a quick
search,this studysuggests 10mg per day for
pregnant goats.
