A very good product.

It worked well to stop my dog licking the lump on her chest - as well as after the op to remove it.

Beautifully made but followed advice to size down if between sizes and wish I had gone for the larger size. However my dog did wear it after her spaying and it did its job, though I had to get a second one (larger) from the vet when this one needed washing. Definitely need two! Being able to roll up the back end is useful.

Can I wash my pet vest in the washing machine
Yes, washing instructions can be found below:
For longer usage, it is possible that the print of the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® and the label could fade over time. With the washing instructions below, this process can be delayed. Washing, maintaining and handling of delivered items always remains the responsibility of the customer.
Instructions:
Always turn inside out for washing.
Fasten all press studs before washing.
We recommend using a laundry bag.
Wash the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® up to a maximum of 90ºC/194ºF.
Never put the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® in the dryer! Hang it out and let it air dry.
Do not iron directly over the print and never too hot.
Do not use bleach or other chemicals to clean the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt®.
Using bleach and other chemicals can cause irritations to your dog’s wound, surgical area, hotspots or more…!
TIP! Little (peeing) accidents can happen while wearing the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt®. To ensure that your dog remains protected, two MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® are often purchased. While one MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® can be washed, the other MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® can be worn. When your dog needs to wear the MPS-Medical Pet Shirt® longer than a week, it’s always better to have a back-up shirt!

Hi,
My male dog is due for castration. He measures 70cm back, 90cm chest (Dobermann)
What size suit would you recommend?
He also has epilepsy so I am worried about overheating (especially if he has a seizure) and due to his meds he drinks / urinates a lot - can pads be used with the suit rather than a belly band?
Many thanks
If you measure from the base of the tail to the neck then you can compare this to the size guide as found on the product page. You will need to unpop and roll the suit back in order to allow your dog to toilet. I would not recommend trying to use pads in the suit to counter this, they are unlikely to hold enough liquid to be sufficient.
You may wish to get a buster collar instead taking all this into account.

What size would i need for a chunky french bulldog
This depends on the measurements of your dog compared to the size guide. The shirts are elasticated so will fit dogs of all shapes and breeds if the correct shirt size is chosen. Please measure the length from the neck to the base of the tail and use alongside the following guide:

Hi
I have a female Boston terrier whom is due to be sorted soon…she is 14inch from base off neck to end off back….the closest size in your shirts measure 13.8inch…should I get this one or am I best getting next size up as don’t want it too tight. She is 20 inch round chest area, so quite a long deep chested girl. Your advice would be greatly appreciated! X
It is advised to use the Extra Extra Small shirt for a dog of this size.

Is.there a way of securing the flaps when undone to go toilet?
Unfortunately there is no way of securing the flaps when unfastening, however the shirt should roll up easily when you need to do so as your dog goes to toilet. They can then be reattached after this.

My dog Is due to be castrated next week. I was expecting to receive a cone but someone suggested this item.
What I am worried about is that my dog will still be able to reach his stitches and nibble at the material. What are the chances of this happening?
If well fitted then this shirt should cover the op site for a routine castration. It is worth noting that you will need to unbutton the shirt at the back when your dog goes to toilet.

Is this suit suitable for dogs in season? I know some are, but not sure if this one is
This product is suitable for a dog in season however it will cover her private area, and so there may be discharge and staining on the shirt over this site. The shirt does need unpopping at the back and rolling up when your dog goes to toilet.
It will not definitely prevent any mating attempts and should not be used for this use.

What is the body suit made from as my Labrador chews
This bodysuit is made of elasticated fabric.

Are these suitable for post surgery in hot weather. Am concerned my labrador will get overheated.
This depends on the type of dog you have, if long haired then heat may be an issue on hot days. It is worth discussing this with the vet who will be carrying out the operation.
