I have used pig oil on my mares heels & fetlocks for several years. She has white socks, but can walk through quite deep sodden mud, and I find the mud doesn’t stick. It saves hosing her legs which can cause soreness or aggravates her arthritis . I apply it daily with a sponge or cloth before I turn her out. She hasn’t suffered mud fever since using the oil.

Great for keeping mud off horses feathers and legs. Some deep mud in our paddock and using this oil never had mud fever. It is a bit messy to put on but well worth the effort.
