I've tried several Calmers for my spooky horse but this is the one that works best

After some time off earlier this year I needed a calmer for B on our first few hacks and chose Lincoln's valerian cordial as I had used it before with good results. It gave me the confidence to ride again and now we are hacking out without stupid behaviour tho he will always be spooky!

I bought this product for a very distracted gelding. When we go to events we have trouble getting him to concentrate and it did seem to calm him mentally, got a bit more concentration out of him. So i would recommend this product.

My horse is very highly strung to new things around him and while he has been on box rest, after 2 weeks he is alot more chilled out, if anything maybe a little too much! now we are back riding - but not complaining, maybe just need to alter the dose.

What's the feeding dose/ cost per day?
The dose rate is 2 teaspoons daily in the feed. This equates to around 10mls so the 250ml bottle would last 25 days.

Roughly how long does it take to supposedly start seeing results ?
As far as I can tell this seems to be variable. Some people report a difference within a day, others that it takes a number of days. This is not a licensed medication and so it has not been through the rigorous scientific tests which apply to those products. This means that it is not possible to state anything conclusive about its effect. I am not sure that all horses show a significant response at all, but many do seem to respond well..

I started feeding my mare Lincoln Valerian Cordial about 5 days ago to help her deal with the temporary loss of her field companion they could be apart for 1 - 4 weeks. How long can you continue to feed valerian to a horse on a daily basis?
thanks
This product is safe to give for as long as you need to. The effect might wear off gradually in time, but you can judge this for yourself. This product is a banned substance for competition horses.
