Description

We believe that dogs should eat proper food that's naturally nourishing, which is even more important when your pet is poorly or suffers from a sensitive stomach. Our nutritionally complete, grain free Recovery Recipe is a soothing combination of ingredients including fresh chicken, banana (a good source of vitamins B & C, fibre and potassium, necessary for heart and muscle function as well as ensuring good digestion) and potato, as well as prebiotics to help establish and maintain a good digestive system.

The natural prebiotic FOS found in plants is great for helping to stimulate the growth of friendly microflora bacteria in the intestine. And our natural prebiotic MOS from nutritious yeasts provides food for all those friendly bacteria, which are very important to help maintain a live and healthy digestive system, and help avoid upset tummies. A gentle recipe for a happy tummy. This soothing recipe will help your dog get back up on their paws in no time. Perfect for dogs recovering from illness or simply to be kept in the cupboard for those 'just in case' days when your dog is in need of some extra TLC!

What makes our food special? This recipe is carefully crafted for recovering dogs using 3 simple, natural ingredients with vitamins, minerals and prebiotics. We use fresh chicken, nourishing bananas and potatoes, and absolutely no nasty meat meal or fillers.

I use this as a transition food following the bland chicken and rice diet recommended when dogs have stomach issues. I introduce it gradually and dog seems fine with it. It must taste much better than rice!

Kidney Disease Stage 2

Please is the Recovery Recipe ok to feed my dogs with the above condition? He also has leishmaniasis (cause of kidney issue) and is on allopurinol and benefortin.

I can’t see a phosphorus level.

Thank you so much

It is recommended to feed a prescription kidney diet to a pet with diagnosed kidney disease. Protein levels need to be kept to a minimum as well which I cannot guarantee will be the case with the food you have linked. I advise reading our blog on managing the kidneys, link provided here, and discussing any dietary changes with your vet.
