Description

We believe that dogs should eat proper food that's naturally nourishing, which is even more important when your pet is poorly or suffers from a sensitive stomach. Our nutritionally complete, grain free Recovery Recipe is a soothing combination of ingredients including fresh chicken, banana (a good source of vitamins B & C, fibre and potassium, necessary for heart and muscle function as well as ensuring good digestion) and potato, as well as prebiotics to help establish and maintain a good digestive system.

The natural prebiotic FOS found in plants is great for helping to stimulate the growth of friendly microflora bacteria in the intestine. And our natural prebiotic MOS from nutritious yeasts provides food for all those friendly bacteria, which are very important to help maintain a live and healthy digestive system, and help avoid upset tummies. A gentle recipe for a happy tummy. This soothing recipe will help your dog get back up on their paws in no time. Perfect for dogs recovering from illness or simply to be kept in the cupboard for those 'just in case' days when your dog is in need of some extra TLC!

What makes our food special? This recipe is carefully crafted for recovering dogs using 3 simple, natural ingredients with vitamins, minerals and prebiotics. We use fresh chicken, nourishing bananas and potatoes, and absolutely no nasty meat meal or fillers.

55 Life Saver

I trust the Lily's brand and ethos and like to give my dogs a special treat with Lily's occasionally. However I always try to have a few tins of Recovery Recipe in the cupboard. However after my old pup had a very bad gastro thing, he was on a very slow transition from chicken to his normal diet. However 3 weeks in and I was sick of twice daily chicken dinners; Hello Recovery Recipe. It contains all the natural ingredients I was looking for and has filled the chicken dinner gap and my very hungry dog.... Wouldn't be without it.

55 Suits my elderly dog

This is the only commercial food that suits my old collie. I often supplement it with a small amount of other flavours to give him variety but I rely on this and hope it continues to agree with him. It's great to see him eating with gusto a food that won't upset his digestive system. It is expensive but worth it to me.

This dog food has saved my dog's life! My 13 and a half year old Border Collie would not eat at all. She has kidney disease and was put on a special diet by the vet. She wouldn't eat that, or her old food or any food so she became dangerously thin and very weak!!! But she loves your Recovery Recipe and eats with relish. She has put on weight and her coat looks good. I know she is old and dying but she is happy and has a quality of life!! Thank you.

55 Helps get 'em back on their paws!

Pippa (10yr old English Setter) recently had a huge malignant tumour removed from her shoulder. It was feared she would have to lose her leg as there would be insufficient muscle left to support it. Thankfully the tumour was removed without amputation but she lost a lot of blood and was very weak. I put her on Lily's K Recovery Recipe immediately she came home and she ate well from the start of her convalescence. Ten days later our lovely vet came to take out her 18 stitches and was amazed at her recovery and the fact that the muscle was already growing back and that she was not only using the leg but getting around fast on it!

I firmly believe that Lily's Recovery Recipe is playing a significant part in her recovery. She loves it and I am keeping her on it for some time yet. Two of our other eight Setters, Flossie and Fenella the Third, have a tendency to colitis so I give it them whenever they are a little off colour and their systems tolerate it well. (they also love it!).

Highly palatable, easy-eat consistency, nutritious food and an excellent help during convalescence.

Thanks Lily!
