This shampoo is great. My dogs coat looked great so glossy. And killed fleas.

Permethrin

My Bichon Frise has fleas but is allergic to Permethrin which is in most flea products do you have one that would be safe for me to use?

  • VioVet Staff

Hello,

There are a couple of products called Effipro or Fiprospot which contain the active ingredient Fipronil instead, (which can be thought of as more effective than Permethrin) which may be worth trying.

There is a natural flea treatment that does not contain any insecticides called Biospotix natural spot on which may be worth a try, however, I am not sure how effective this is but it may be a better option for your dog due to the allergies.

Flea shampoo's do not tend to be very effective at all and think you may be better using a spot on product and/or using flea comb.
