55 Hills Science Plan Light Large Breed

I like this product. The biscuits are round and quite small so it takes longer to eat as there is more of them than a larger biscuit and my dog does not like to let her meals linger in the dish approx. a minute!!

45 Dogs love it, but it is loaded with filler
Verified Purchase

Bought it for a yellow lab and a black lab. Although it is supposed to be hypo-allergenic the black lab had a reaction and had to be taken off it. The yellow lab loves it, however it is loaded with filler, so the "by product" from the dogs increased 3 fold. As a result, we now mix it 50/50 with another food to avoid walking them 3 times a day...

55 Which one to choose?
Verified Purchase

By on 5 December 2015

My Golden Retriever loves her food, so much so that she was very overweight when I had her as a rescue dog two years ago.
Following the vet's advice, I fed her on Hills Metabolic until she had got down to 31kg (from 36kg) after just over a year. The problem then was "which one to choose" to get her gradually on to normal food. The Large Breed Chicken food seems ideal. The chicken is light and nourishing. Her weight is OK and she is happy!

55 Great food for Great Danes!
Verified Purchase

By on 6 May 2013

Our Great Dane has a rather sensitive tummy, but we have found this food to be the best for him. It keeps his beautiful black coat glossy and shiny and gives him lots of energy without any worry about putting any excess weight on. Since switching to this food we have had no digestive problems and he is always keen to gobble it all up. Viovet offer a fantastic service with quick and easy reordering and reliable dispatch, keeping us in good books with our dog by making sure he has a constant supply of the goodies!

Hi what dry food I can feed my dog he is 18 months old and I’m looking for hills dry food

  • VioVet Staff

Any adult complete branded dog food will be fine for your 18 month old dog, assuming they are fully grown. This diet you have asked the question on is best suited for a large breed dog that is less active or is prone to weight gain.
