Heygates Country Herb Goat Mix

Country Herb Goat Mix is a coarse mixture that is lightly molassed and is suitable for most adult goats.

Containing cooked peas, lucerne, sunflower, and soya this mix provides protein from a variety of sources and the blend of natural herbs helps to improve the palatability and digestibility of the feed, as well as the lightly rolled oats to provide your goats with energy and a good source of digestible fibre. Country Goat Herb Mix also contains Vitamin E and Selenium to support general health, as well as encouraging coat and hoof condition.

No other supplements should be required when feeding this mix as it has been fully mineralised.

Ingredients include:
Lightly rolled oats to provide energy and digestible fibre, steam cooked flaked barley and flaked maize. A variety of protein sources are used including cooked flaked peas, lucerne, sunflower and soya.


Feeding Recommendations:
Always introduce Country Herb Goat Mix gradually, starting with about 0.25kg per day and gradually increasing the amount each day. A maintenance ration for an adult goat is usually between 0.5kg and 1kg per day when fed with hay. The actual amount will depend on the size of the animal and the quality of the forage available. It is best to split the ration into at least two feeds per day.

A milking goat should be fed from about three weeks before kidding, building up to at least 0.5kg at kidding. To support 5 litres of milk production she will need 2kg of feed per day.
