We've fed our retriever via a slow feeding maze for years but she still ate her food like it was going to get stolen from her so we purchased this one and it's fabulous. Wasn't sure at first but soon got used to it. Food would last seconds before but now a good 10mins. Food does get out of the bowl but she eats it anyway.

Bought it for our pup in the winter when it's a bit too muddy/cold to scatter feed outside. Definitely takes him longer to work for his food and slows down his eating, he finds the middle sections difficult but then just uses his paws to move his food to the easier, outer sections instead, so gets his brain going. Maybe a bit expensive when a snuffle mat does the same job. But does what it says on the tin!

Excellent product. My dog now takes 15 minutes to eat her kibble instead of woofing it down in 30 seconds and not as much belching. Bought the large one for my medium sized Spanish waterdog. The feeder is a bit of a pain to wash but that's the only slight downside. Bought the smaller feeder for my smaller waterdog and she finishes much quicker which is the reverse of having their food in normal bowls. All in all, a good buy. It seems to tire them out too.

My 4 month old lab used to inhale his meals in less than a minute, whereas he now takes 15-20 minutes and seems to really enjoy eating from this feeder. Gives him a good brain workout. The mental stimulation tires him out and he often settles after he’s eaten now (previously had zoomies after eating). It seems a little over the top and is quite big, but it’s nice to get 15 minutes to grab a drink or whatever whilst he eats, knowing he’s not going to get bloat. We are 2 weeks on with this and he’s not gotten frustrated with it.
