Bought for my dog who is benefiting greatly from the seaweed, a little goes a long way :)
Customer recommends this product
It smells good. The seaweed flakes presumably and even inside and consistency. It flows readily and is easy to measure out or scoop. The tub is robust and reveals well, so it should stay fresh.

Perfect for my dogs… Quality, quantity and at a price that’s fair for such a product.

Excellent product, however I use it for my tomato and cucumber plants in the greenhouse, so far I’m impressed.

Is this safe for human consumption?
Gold Label Seaweed is designed for horses and isn't regulated for human food safety— it's marketed solely as a horse supplement. Given its high iodine content and possible trace minerals or contaminants, consuming it could pose health risks. Human-grade seaweed products are subject to food safety standards, which Gold Label Seaweed is not.
In summary: Gold Label Seaweed is not safe or appropriate for human consumption.

I've read about the benefits of feeding seaweed to EMS horses so want to try this supplement but I'm concerned about feeding too much iodine. Is this safe to feed to an EMS pony daily and would I have to ensure no other supplements contain iodine? I also feed selenavite E.
Yes, you can feed seaweed to your EMS pony—but only in small, controlled doses.
Yes, ensure total iodine intake remains around 3–6 mg/day from all sources.
Yes, you’ll likely need to adjust or remove other iodine supplements, like Selenavite E or iodised salt, to avoid excess.

Can dogs take this supplement?
Yes, in general, seaweed is safe for dogs, though there is some dogs that have thyroid issues that it is not safe for. This is due to naturally occuring iodine in seaweed. Whilst iodine is an essential micronutrient for health and wellbeing to much of it can have a negative effect.
