Started using this Gold Label collagen along with Global Herbs Tumeric and have seen fantastic results. From a horse that needed her hocks injected twice and year to now not a all. Still a little stiff but nothing nearly like she was before the collagen.

Tub says to give 2 scoops / 30g. Two very heaped scoops only weigh 25g so which should it be?

  • VioVet Staff

The tub instructions say to give 2 scoops (30g), but two heaped scoops actually weigh around 25g. This happens because scoops can vary depending on how full they are. For the most accurate dosing, it’s best to weigh out 30g if you can. If you don’t have a scale, two heaped scoops is a practical and close estimate

Hi I'm a bit confused about the dosage. Tub says 30g (2 measures) but 2 well heaped scoops (using the little blue scoop provided) barely makes 25g. So which is the correct amount - measures or weighing out 30g?

  • VioVet Staff

The recommended dose for Gold Label Collagen Joint Enhancer is 30g, which usually equals 2 level scoops. Since heaped scoops can vary in weight, for accuracy it’s best to weigh out 30g if possible. If you don’t have a scale, two level scoops is the closest practical amount

john

what percentage of collagen is I is product and how many grams are needed many thanks john

  • VioVet Staff

Hi John,

Thank you for your question.

I just spoke to the manufacturer and they said this is pure hydrolysed collagen and a 2.7kg tub will last approximately 3 months.

Hope this helps.
