I brought this after giving up on all the expensive joint supplement, and just thought I’d give one of the cheaper ones a try. It works really well for my horse who has bone spavins, and it saves me a few extra pennies!

Continuous supplement in feed

olivia rose

i am wanting to know if you can feed this all year round or is it recommend to feed for the 2 weeks and give them a break? my 23 year old is currently on this product and i am coming to the end of the 2 weeks and i have seen a massive improvement in him since been on this product i was wondering if i can feed him this everyday in his feed.

  • VioVet Staff

The label for this product states that 'continuous use is acceptable', so this should be fine if used long term at a maintenance dose.

Pain relief

I would be extremely grateful to learn if this product is suitable for short term mild pain relief

  • VioVet Staff

Yes this product would be ideal for mild pain relief. You can use it over a longer period of time if you need to though. However it will never be as good for pain relief as prescriptions medications such as bute.

How much no bute do you feed after been on the 2 week dosage? My horse is 17hh he is on glucosamine too is this ok to use two supplements together?

  • VioVet Staff

It is OK to use this with glucosamine long-term at up to the full recommended dose which you gave for the first 2 weeks. Some people go for a half dose after the first 2 weeks to save money and this seems to work fairly well too. Probably every horse is a little different in how well it responds anyway.
