Description

Eukanuba Dermatosis FP Response veterinary diet meets the needs of dogs suffering from both food allergies and other inflammatory skin and gastro-intestinal diseases. The diet not only incorporates novel single protein and carbohydrate sources of fish and potato for dogs, but also reduces the level of pro-inflammatory mediators. This diet is one of the most widely used, genuinely hypoallergenic diets available for dogs. Many dogs with itchy skins and with chronic bowel disease will show a dramatic and sustained response to the novel protein sources found in Eukanuba Dermatosis FP Response dog food.

Benefits

  • Novel protein and carbohydrate sources - fish/potato to reduce food allergy and intolerance
  • Targeted omega-6:omega-3 fatty acid ratio - helps nutritionally manage atopy and inflammation at the cellular level
  • FOS (fructooligosaccharies)* - prebiotics which aid in GI health and have been shown in a clinical study to help maintain the balance between beneficial and potentially pathogenic bacteria
  • Beet pulp - a moderately fermentable fibre that produces butyrate, a short-chain fatty acid (SCFA), which is a preferential energy source for the enteroycytes. Promotes intestinal health and optimal stool consistency

What are the protein and carbohydrate sources? I want a salmon and potato food for my Westie

John Cousins
  • Veterinary Surgeon

The carbohydrate is potato based, the protein is more than one fish, but not salmon. The results tend to be very good and are in line with a salmon and potato diet. If however you are sure you want salmon and potato, then a good example would be Barking Heads Fusspot. You could take a look at that.
