Description

Look after your best friend’s skin & coat with a nourishing blend of essential omegas, all from sustainably grown plants on UK farms. This golden liquid contains the ideal ratio of Omega 3 to Omega 6 fatty acids for comfortable, calm skin and coats with head-turning shine!

A mild flavoured combination of cold-pressed seed oils is guaranteed to go down a treat, with no fishy smell.

Our handy pump means no pouring, no measuring and no mess!

Why choose EpiGlow?

Supports dry, flaky or itchy skin

The mix of Omegas 3 & 6 provided by EpiGlow™ work together to ensure dogs receive everything needed to maintain their skin’s protective barrier, keeping it healthy & comfortable. Omega 3s are invaluable for dogs with allergies, sensitive or irritated skin, and are supplemented to support the body’s natural anti-inflammatory pathways and help dogs prone to uncomfortable or itchy skin

Promotes a healthy, shiny coat

Omega 6 oils are important for a healthy moisture content of the skin, and Omega 3 oils work with Vitamin E (an antioxidant naturally found in the plant oils) for strong hair follicles, so promoting growth of a soft and silky coat. Supple and nourished skin also helps minimise the effect of our centrally heated & air conditioned homes, that constantly provide triggers for moulting. After all that effort growing a new coat, wouldn’t it be nice to hold on to those glorious hairs for a little longer?

Supports bodywide health

In addition to skin health, the omegas in EpiGlow™ help to support the heart, joints, eyes & brain! As a bonus for using plant oils, EpiGlow™ also provides a host of plant derived antioxidants and phenols that also contribute to our dogs’ wider health.

Feeding Guide

EpiGlow™ is intended to be added to your dog's normal meals.

Add 1 pump (2ml) per 6kg bodyweight. For best results, feed the recommended amount daily.

Composition

Linseed Oil, Hemp Oil.

Omega 3 Content - 47%

Omega 6 Content - 26%

Analytical Constituents:

Crude Protein 0.02%, Crude Fats 96.57%, Vitamin E 150mg/kg (Natural Vitamin E).

Why is EpiGlow™ Oil a fish-free formulation?

Fish are great sources of Omega 3 fatty acids but fish oils don’t suit every dog or owner, and we love that the perfect ratio of skin-loving omegas can be found in plants! For those concerned about accumulation of heavy metals and other undesirables in the food chain (which can end up in fish oils), using organically grown plants from trusted UK farms, is the perfect alternative that eliminates this - it keeps things local too. Minimally processed, the seeds are ‘cold-pressed’ to extract the oils and also come with a host of other health supporting nutrients.

EpiGlow™ Omega Oil is the perfect option for those searching for a mess-free, fish-free formula that takes care of your best friend’s skin, and uses environmentally friendly crops & manufacturing methods.

Dry puppy coat
Verified Purchase

By Maxine Field on 10 May 2026

Bought this for my 10 week old pup as he had a dry coat and itchy skin. I noticed a difference in his coat after just a week and now after three weeks, his coat is looking shiny and he’s not as itchy. He happily eats the oil in his food and it hasn’t upset his stomach. I’d previously tried salmon oil but he got a very upset tum with it despite introducing it very gradually.

My dog likes the taste of this and it's easy to squirt the correct dosage onto his raw food. Only been using it for a couple of weeks but hoping it'll help his itchy skin as he's been non stop scratching

Ratio 6:3, sources and ingredients

Frihe

Hi there
Please can you tell me the ratio of omega 6:3, sources and ingredients
Thank you

  • VioVet Staff

EpiGlow™ Omega-3 & 6 Skin and Coat Oil for Dogs typically contains a ratio of 6:3 (Omega-6 to Omega-3), which is balanced to support your dog's skin and coat health.

Sources:

  • Omega-6: This is typically sourced from borage oil or evening primrose oil, both of which are rich in gamma-linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid.

  • Omega-3: Usually derived from fish oil, particularly salmon oil or other marine sources, which are rich in EPA (eicosapentaenoic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenoic acid).

Key Ingredients:

  • Borage oil or evening primrose oil (for Omega-6)

  • Fish oil (for Omega-3)

  • Vitamin E (a natural antioxidant, often included to support skin health and maintain the integrity of the oil)

I recommend reading our blog 'Allergies in cats & dogs - a vet guide' for more information. A supplement like this is great as part of a treatment plan for the condition. In terms of which product to choose, I advise reading the descriptions and choosing this way. It will largely be down to personal preference.

Digestion

Victoria

Hello, my dog had anal glad issues. It was mentioned to me that some oils could help with his digestion and inflammation of the glads. Would this help at all?

  • VioVet Staff

Omega oils have many possible benefits. There has not been sufficient research to definitively link these benefits for helping with anal gland issues, however it is believed the anti-inflammatory effects aid the issue. The oils can also lubricate the stools to assist normal expression of the anal glands.
It is usually advised to use fibre containing supplements such as ReguTum Fibre Care when trying to reduce the recurrence of anal gland issues. These aim to support normal gut transit and so normal expression of the glands. This can be used alongside Omega oils if you wish to try both.

Vitamin E oil

Lizzie traversari

Hi can I rub this oil on my dogs skin ?

  • VioVet Staff

This supplement is only intended for use orally. It contains natural Hemp and Sunflower oil so there is no reason why it would not be safe on your dog's skin, however this is done at your own risk. It will likely not have the intended effect if applied in this way.

Upset stomach

Johnson

I have a year and a half old Cavapoo bitch with itchy skin and sensitive tummy. She is currently on Royal Canin Hypoallergenic wet and dry food. Can this supplement be added to her food to help with itching and without upsetting her tummy? I have given her salmon oil before, but that didn't agree with her. Or should the Royal Canin have the right amount of omega oils for her?

  • VioVet Staff

This liquid is Hemp Seed Oil and Sunflower Oil based, it does not contain Salmon Oil. If your dog is allergic/intolerant to Hemp Seed or Sunflower though then it can set off a reaction.
The Royal Canin Hypoallergenic food does contain some oils and so omega oils, however it is not specifically tailored to supplement the diet with omega oil so adding in an EpiGlow is a good idea.

Could this be used for cats?

Susie

Hi, I have a cat with itchy skin issues and wondered if this supplement could be used with him? He weighs about 4.5 kg.

  • VioVet Staff

If you are looking for an Omega supplement for your cat we recommend using our EpiGlow Chews instead as these are safe for use in cats.

Is it ok to use this in addition the the Viovet multi vit and the joint support supplements? (Managing hip and muscle issues, vet has recommended adding omegas as the joint sup is missing the fatty side of things). Want to make sure not overdosing on any vitamin or mineral when combined.

Or would it be better to take a YuMove supplement instead as a single supplement?

  • VioVet Staff

Yes EpiGlow is safe to use alongside TotaVit and Joint Force. I would avoid using it with Joint Force Plus unless alongside vet advice as they both contain omega oils and you would be unnecessarily double dosing on this aspect.
YuMove contains essentially the same ingredients as Joint Force so I do not advise switching onto this only instead. If you wish to simplify your supplements then using Joint Force Plus only instead. This contains omega oils, some vitamins and joint support ingredients.

Is this safe for use for puppies?

Louise

My vet has recommended adding Omega 3 and 6 to my puppy’s diet to help with her itchy skin. Is this safe for use in a 4 month old Labrador?

  • VioVet Staff

Yes there should be no issues using this in your 4 month old pup if you follow the packaging dose guidelines and your vets advice.
