Why Choose Drontal Oral Suspension for Puppies?
Drontal puppy wormer works fast to kill roundworms, hookworms, and whipworms, giving you peace of mind that you are helping keep your puppy and family away from internal parasites.
Worm infestation can be fatal in puppies, why risk it?
Young puppies are highly susceptible to roundworm infection. They can be transmitted via the milk and can also be born with an infestation from exposure in their mother’s womb. Intestinal worms steal valuable nutrients your puppy needs to grow and live a happy and healthy life. If left untreated, worms can lead to serious health complications for both puppies and people. Worming your puppy is easy with Drontal oral suspension for puppies.

I purchased this for my litter of pups. It has a syringe included which is great, as not all worming medications do. The dosage amounts are clear and it is effective.

Yes very pleased have previously used on my litters
Customer recommends this product
Bought this as it was the same wormer the breeder used. Came quickly and much cheaper than other places. Put it in puppy food and he seems to really like it! So no problem getting him to take the dose.

Will Drontal puppy be enough treatment for my 7kg 20 month old Italian greyhound. Or will he need the tablets. Thank you
It is not recommended to use Drontal Puppy in dogs over 1 year of age. It would be easiest to give your 7kg dog 1 x Drontal Tasty Bone Wormer Tablet instead. This can be crushed into the food if required.

Can this product be used alongside Advocate worm & flea treatment?
Yes these can be used safely together, however you are already covering roundworms with the Advocate and Drontal Puppy only covers roundworms. You will need to use a tapewormer alongside Advocate, Droncit would be a good choice for this.

How often should I worm my puppy ? He is 16 weeks & was last wormed at 12 weeks. Do I continue worming monthly until 6 months or move to a 3 month schedule now ? There seems to be conflicting advice online
It is recommended to worm at 2, 5, 8, 10 and 12 weeks then monthly until 6 months old. At this point standard advice is worming every 3 months however recent evidence suggest that high risk dogs (scavengers or those house with children/elderly/immunosuppressed individuals) should be wormed monthly.
We recommend switching from the Drontal Puppy Liquid onto the Drontal Tasty Bone Wormer Tabs once your pet is over 2kg and weaned as this will be easier to administer.

How much should I buy to treat 7 puppies
This depends on the weight of your puppies, the dose is 1 ml suspension/kg body weight and should only be given to puppies older than 2 weeks and weighing greater than 0.6kg. It is very hard to predict how heavy your puppies will be, if you know the estimated puppy weight for your dog then you can work this out.
If you are unsure then I advise ordering the 100ml bottle as this is more cost effective. If stored correctly then it will last 12 weeks after opening before it expires which should cover every worming dose required until your pups are old enough for tabletable wormers.

My puppy is 6 months and weighs 27kg - can I give her 1 Drontal XL (up to 35kg) tablet or does she have to have Drontal Puppy wormer.
I recommend dosing your dog with 3 x Drontal Tasty Bone Wormer tablets instead as 1 tablet treats up to 10kg. The XL tablet will be a slight overdose for your 27kg dog. Please get in touch at [email protected] if you have any further specific questions.

My 8 week old kitten has been wormed for the first time and passed dead worms in her faeces. This is the first time she has been wormed. How often should I worm her now? Is it every 2 weeks until 12 weeks and then every 3 months. Just need to make sure all the worms she had are gone. Thanks.
Hello,
Thank you for your question.
Kittens need to be wormed every two weeks until twelve weeks of age, then monthly until six months of age. After six months all cats need to be wormed every three months for effective protection.
Hope this helps.

What is the difference between drontal and drontal plus please?
Drontal plus is intended for dogs and contains the active ingredients Pyrantel, Febantel and Praziquantel. It can be given to puppies from 2 weeks old and is effective against roundworm and tapeworm. Drontal oral suspension for puppies is intended for puppies up to 1 year old only. It contains Pyrantel and Febantel, is effective against roundworm and can be given from 2 weeks old.

Can I purchase a years supply of drontal or do they have a short expiry date?
Hi Elizabeth,
Thanks for your question.
We recommend only buying six months' of treatment at a time as we cannot guarantee the expiry dates coming from our suppliers.
Thanks,
