Dog & Field's Original Clone range brings a new level of realism to retriever training, replacing a plain canvas body with a high-definition photographic print taken from real cock pheasant feathers. This 1lb dummy is built to the standard weight used across UK gundog work and field trials, so a dog that carries it confidently is ready for the weight it will meet on a real cock pheasant retrieve. The bold barring and colouring of cock pheasant plumage give handlers a clear, eye-catching mark to set for both visible and blind retrieves, while the lifelike pattern helps a dog start to associate the shape of a dummy with the actual game bird it may be sent to collect in the field. Built from tough canvas to stand up to repeated retrieves, marking drills and general handling exercises, it sits at the core weight stage of the Original Clone range - the benchmark most trainers use before moving a dog on to specialist or competition work. A straightforward, durable step for any pheasant-shooting household building a reliable retriever.
