Horse patently would not eat. Even in tiny amounts and in any form of feed or treat. Total waste of money

55 Dodson and Horrell ground chaste berries

Using this for my elderly pony who is borderline Cushings and has had e.m.s in the past. She is also hormonal. I have been using this product since the autumn and I really think she has improved. She is not keen on the taste so I mix a few drops of peppermint oil with extra oil and add it to her feed. Seems to do the trick.

55 Effective for riggy gelding and old pony with cushings.

I’m very pleased with this product.
Riggy gelding:
I have previously used rig calm and I have found this to be equally effective and better value. Feeding it hasn’t been a problem either.

Laminitic old pony with EMS and cushings:
This has worked wonders on our old pony who has been quite unwell recently despite very limited rations and turn out limited to the school. She is in less pain now and is walking soundly. She doesn’t need persuading to eat it either.

I have read that others’ horses have refused it but for mine this hasn’t been an issue.

55 has helped with an erratic hormaonal cushing mare
Verified Purchase

By Helen Perkins on 10 November 2017

after using the Hilton herbs Cush x for a year I wanted to support my mares ever changing extreme hormones! for the last two winters she seems to become quite hormonal when we come into winter. attaches herself to another mare and can display stallion like behaviors.
I feed this along side the Cush x and it helps keep all her crushing's symptoms at bay and I have seen a decrease in her erratic hormonal tendencies.
it is very strong smelling so I have to add it to her feed slowly and I am currently feeding under her dosage as too much and she wont eat her feed!.
I feel this is a must for people with Cushing ponies that don't want to medicate.

My mare has quite strongly come into season and is currently being pestered by two riggy geldings.
She is already on the recommend amount of D&H stroppy mare, but I have been suggested to give this a try. Any advice?

  • Meds Supervisor
