Below are some recent questions we've received regarding Covexin 10, including answers from our team.
Jenny
Is this a good alternative to heptivax
Did you mean Heptavac?
Not necessarily as an alternative as they both have their own benefits but are very similar.
If clostridial protection alone is your goal: Covexin 10 covers 10 clostridial strains, while Heptavac-P Plus covers 7 — so Covexin 10 offers broader clostridial coverage.
If Pasteurella pneumonia risk is also a concern (especially in lambs): Heptavac-P Plus adds important protection against Pasteurella, which Covexin 10 doesn’t cover.
Therefore:
If you only need clostridial protection and require full 10-strain cover → stick with Covexin 10.
If you're okay with 7-strain clostridial cover and want Pasteurella protection too → Heptavac-P Plus is a good option.
