  • VioVet Staff

Did you mean Heptavac?

Not necessarily as an alternative as they both have their own benefits but are very similar.

  • If clostridial protection alone is your goal: Covexin 10 covers 10 clostridial strains, while Heptavac-P Plus covers 7 — so Covexin 10 offers broader clostridial coverage.

  • If Pasteurella pneumonia risk is also a concern (especially in lambs): Heptavac-P Plus adds important protection against Pasteurella, which Covexin 10 doesn’t cover.

Therefore:

  • If you only need clostridial protection and require full 10-strain cover → stick with Covexin 10.

  • If you're okay with 7-strain clostridial cover and want Pasteurella protection tooHeptavac-P Plus is a good option.
