How to use

  1. Cover the area to be treated (sun protection or damaged skin area) with a thin visible film. This can be gently massaged in to provide sun blocking action up to 8 hours.
  2. A thick layer of FiltaClear® may be used for longer sun blocking protection and as an antibacterial cover.
  3. Re-apply FiltaClear® to the area for 2-3 days without removing the original cover.
  4. After this period, gently remove the FiltaClear® from the area by using warm water and a mild soap or dilute antiseptic solution.
  5. Pat or air-dry (do not rub) and recover with FiltaClear®. Hair will regrow naturally on the area.

When to use

  • Sun block and wind protection
  • Clipper rash: anti licking agent deters causing more irritation
  • Irritated skin: inflamed, weeping areas FiltaClear® will soothe the affected skin area
  • Albino or white cats and dogs protection on noses and ear margins, safe to use on sensitive skin areas
  • Sunburn: from sun or heat lamp exposure
  • Over veterinary procedures, to cover and protect

Sun protection for my Cat and Bichon Frise Dog

Mrs Chris Sorge

Is this product perfectly safe for both my Birman x ginger and white cat who loves sunbathing on our window sills and also my Bichon Frise Dog as she doesn't have a very thick coat and needs extra protection especially after a clip !
I know Cats can be very sensitive to many products so this does concern me !
Many thanks for your help
Yours sincerely Chris

FilterClear is safe for both dogs and cats. It contains a bittering agent to minimise licking and tastes unpleasant but is not toxic. Titanium dioxide, the 'reflector', is inert and is frequently found as a filler in tablets and other pharmaceutical products. Many human sunscreens contain 'absorbers' for the UV rays and these can be toxic if ingested, unlike Titanium dioxide.
