Please could you advise me whether Anigene is a safe product to use for small animals. In particular, guinea pigs and rabbits.
Yes this cleaner is safe for use around small animals, including guinea pigs and rabbits. It should not be ingested though so you should remove your pets from the area during cleaning and ensure it is dried before replacing them.

Is this effective in killing coccidia in reptiles?
Is this reptile save?
Many thanks
I have contacted Anigene with your response who have advised the following:
None of
the Quat based blends of disinfectant in the Animal Health market are
proven to be particularly effective against Coccidiosis to a suitable
contact
time in our experience. We do supply ANIGENE NaDCC which we recommend
for Protozoa such as Giardia Iamblia and this is suggested for use
weekly as a deep clean protocol. Additionally we also recommend that
pooling water is frequently squeegeed away and if
possible periodic rinsing to limit the build up of oocysts in the
environment.

Is anigene suitable as a boot cleaning disinfectant for farm bio security.
Yes the Anigene disinfectants are suitable once diluted for use in foot dips and for boot cleaning. If you are needing one for a particularly notifiable disease then please contact us on [email protected] for further advice. Only specific products are DEFRA approved for biosecurity and this varies depending on the disease that you are needing to protect against.

Are all the products DEFRA approved for use in catterys as I only see the defra approved on ome bottle in the photos
There is no legal need to use a DEFRA approved disinfectant if you run a vets surgery, kennel or cattery, unless there is an outbreak of a notifiable animal disease. The disinfectant you need depends on what the disease outbreak is. Anigene HLD4ND (the dill version) is DEFRA approved for diseases of poultry but not anything else. The rest in the range are good disinfectants but not DEFRA approved for specific diseases.
If you have a specific disease you need to cover for then please email us at [email protected] and we can advise on some appropriate DEFRA approved disinfectants.

If I use it to deep clean the cat litter tray. I'm worries if it's good which can off the urine smell, so that will it stop my cat to stop using the litter tray ?
Your cat should be urinating in this area due to the familiar smell of the litter, placement of the litter tray and texture of the litter itself. The smell of urine still being present is a factor but should not make a significant difference, your cat should still urinate in the litter tray even after it is cleaned with this product.

Does this kill coronavirus? How much alcohol does it contain?
J Schofield
H Josephine,
Thank you for getting in touch.
Because Coronavirus is so new, manufacturers have not had access to
the virus in order to test their products with it, so products cannot
currently claim to be effective against Coronavirus.
Given that this product is effective against a number of viruses,
there is a good chance that it will be suitable for use as part of your
protective strategy but until the manufacturer has had access to test a
specific viral strain with the product, it cannot be guaranteed.
Using a good disinfectant with virucidal activity around the home
would be expected to greatly reduce risk to families - especially in
addition to following government guidelines for hand hygiene, social
distancing etc.
I hope this is helpful. We hope you and your family stay safe and well.
