A traditional raddle powder formulation that uses only quality controlled pigments in its vibrant colour compounds. Can be easily mixed with traditional oils used for raddle marking but performs best when used with vegetable based oils.

Good colour pigmentation. Bright colour. Mixed with any vegetable oil and smeared on rams chest. Third year of use and less fuss than using a raddle harness. Cheaper too.

Hi, how many applications would a 450g tub do?

  • VioVet Staff

Thank you for your question,

Unfortunately there doesn't seem to be exact mixing instructions, and amount of oil:powder ratio can be adjusted to the desired consistency. A weaker mix will not last as long but I have also read that some people have mixed in a small amount of margarine to help it stick around for longer while not needing to thicken the mixture. If you have a small flock, the 450g seems to be a popular option but I'm not sure how many sheep this would cover or what ratio of oil to powder would be needed I'm afraid. You could try to find a contact number for the manufacturer, Agrimark and give them a call for their advice based on your flock size?

I apologise we couldn't be of more assitance this time.

Kind regards,
