A woman from Carnforth is due to walk 97 miles with her dog to raise money for a pancreatic cancer charity.
Kate Hardcastle will put on Goldie's dog collar and lead and set off on the walk to Whitehaven on February 20th, reports the North-West Evening Mail.
She told the news provider: "The reason I am walking 97 miles is that only three per cent of those who contract the disease survive.
"I lost my own brother and mother to pancreatic cancer and since then have been doing all I can to raise money for the cause."
Ms Hardcastle is due to complete the walk on March 2nd, which is the day her brother passed away from the disease.
Funds raised from the walk will go towards Pancreatic Cancer UK.
In 2007, Ms Hardcastle and Goldie walked 700 miles around the UK, for which she raised £17,000. She hopes that this forthcoming walk will bring the total to over £20.000.
