A Rottweiler cross is desperate for a new home as he is becoming increasingly stressed living in kennels.
Arnie, who is between three and five years old, was found four months ago wandering the streets on his own.
According to Lynda Hourston, assistant manager at the Scottish SPCA's Ayrshire and South West Scotland Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, Arnie is a "big daft" softie who loves playing fetch with pet toys.
She said: "Arnie is a fantastic big guy who desperately needs a new home as he is finding the noise and confinement of kennel life all too much.
"He is a big, daft, soft bear of a dog who has really good basic commands and walks well on a gentle leader and a harness."
Ms Hourston added that Arnie is very affectionate and could live with another dog of a similar size.
Ideally, Arnie will be rehomed with an owner who has experience of larger breeds and plenty of time to give him the new life he deserves.
