Star treatment for Jack Russell competition winner

Thursday, 4th April 2013

A six-year-old Jack Russell was the main attraction at the opening of the latest Pets at Home store in Friern Barnet.

The adorable dog called Freddy was picked to bask in the limelight following a competition that was run in The Press.

The lucky pet received a full grooming session at the store’s Groom Room while his owner Stacey King of Barnet walked away with £100 of Pets at Home gift vouchers to be spent on goods such as dog chew toys, the newspaper reports.

Stephen Pratt, the store manager, was on hand to present the prizes at the official opening, which took place on March 22nd.

Pupils from Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Primary School in New Southgate attended the opening and had the opportunity to get involved with a pet care workshop and meet the new pets.

An RSPCA adoption centre is also due to open at Pets at Home in Friern Barnet in May.
