Santa offers to see dogs and cats this Christmas

Dogs and cats in Australia are being given the chance to visit Santa in his grotto this Christmas.

While owners giving their pets presents such as luxury dog and cat food or even jumpers and scarves on Christmas Day is nothing new, up until now pets have been barred from most shopping centre grottos.

However, one Santa in Adelaide has now decided to welcome four-legged guests into his festive cave, with the decision made on the back of strong demand from shoppers keen to give their pets and not just their children a special day out at the mall.

“We wanted to create a magical experience for pets,” a spokeswoman of the animal-friendly Westfield Tea Tree Plaza shopping centre said.

At the same time, dog owners around the world are being advised not to give into temptation and feed their pets chocolate treats this Christmas.
