An American student who has been dressing a local squirrel in home-made hats has picked up an internet following.
Mary Krupa of Penn State University started designing the rodent-sized toppers after striking up a friendship with a particularly sociable squirrel, who she has named Sneezy.
When the 18-year-old realised that Sneezy wasn't afraid of humans and would happily take food from people's hands, she decided to start dressing him up.
The squirrel's Facebook page, where users can take a look at photos of him in his fancy headwear, has become a campus sensation and now has several hundred followers.
Among the miniature hats designed by Ms Krupa and modelled by Sneezy are a stars and stripes top hat, a Penn State University baseball cap, a fez and a pair of ear muffs.
Pet fancy dress is becoming increasingly popular across the world, with owners now dolling up their animals in all manner of costumes.
However, it is important to pay attention to pets' reactions to being dressed up, and owners should not force their furry friends to wear anything they are not comfortable with.
