British actor Jamie Bell has revealed that the only time he exercises is when walking his pooch on its dog collar and lead.
Bell is set to release his latest movie The Eagle, in which he stars as a British slave in Roman times.
However, the actor revealed that he does not spend time pumping iron in the gym to maintain his physique.
The Billy Elliot star told the Metro: "There was no trainer or on-set gym happening. We wanted to try to be as authentic as possible and my character, Esca, is a slave. If we bulked him up, it would look completely ridiculous.
"I'm so not a keep fit person … Honestly, the only physical exercise I do is walk the dog."
The actor added that he would look "completely ridiculous" if he were to bulk up because of his "tiny frame".
Fellow dog owners may not be surprised at Bell's exercise regime as research by insurance firm esure found that the average dog owner walks their pooch 36 miles per week.
