A Chihuahua has revealed it has an unusual talent while of its dog collar and lead - herding sheep.

Nancy, who was brought to Battersea Dogs & Cats Home when she was just three weeks old, was adopted by the animal charity's head of canine welfare training Ali Taylor.

Ms Taylor regularly took Nancy on trips to the farm, where the pint-sized pooch revealed her unlikely skill.

She said: "One day I decided to give her a whirl in the ring and she picked it up straight away. I started in a very controlled environment but it quickly became evident that Nancy has natural ability and loves herding sheep.

"Nancy and I only do this for fun and to prove that rescue dogs really can do anything."

Farmer Geoff Temple has witnesses Nancy herding sheep first hand.

He explained that he has never seen a Chihuahua work sheep and that she is "something special".
