Brent woman sheds lbs thanks to pooch

By taking her pooch out on its dog collar and lead on a regular basis, a woman from Brent has managed to loose four stone and keep it off.

Liz Clapp, a 57-year-old from Brent Knoll, had a gastric band fitted and dropped three dress sizes. She then got a dog to keep her active, reports thisisthewestcountry.co.uk.

She now manages to keep the weight off by walking her Border Collie, Bandit, regularly and taking him to classes.

Ms Clapp told the news provider: "She's definitely helped me keep the weight off and we do obedience and agility courses together - it's harder than going to the gym as I can't keep up with her at all!

"It's something I can do that doesn't involve eating and I can go talk to people and socialise."

As well as enjoying the classes herself, Ms Clapp added that Bandit enjoys the experience too.

She added that she now walks Bandit between six and seven miles on a regular basis.
