TV show to focus on cat and dog food

Wednesday, 1st June 2011

Tonight's (June 1st) episode of popular TV show The Apprentice is due to focus on the sale of cat and dog food.

The group of contestants, who are vying for the chance to work with business mogul Lord Sugar, will have to make and brand pet food.

A Twitter post from Lord Sugar today said: "Great task on tonight's apprentice candidates have to come up with and advertise a new pet food. BBC 1 9pm … it's a great task and will grip the audience."

According to Fresh Business Thinking, the task will see one team making and promoting dog food and the other cat food.

According to the news provider, difficulties begin to arise when the groups ignore advice from pet-loving focus groups and come up with strange names for their products.

The winning contestant from the 16 hopefuls will win a £250,000 investment to start their own company, with Lord Sugar as their business partner.
