We have all heard of the X Factor but what about the Pets Factor?
In a competition run by The Greenock Telegraph looking to find the area's cutest animal, two pigeons soared above their rivals to take the title.
The feathered friends belong to Newark Primary pupil, Kane Alexander from Port Glasgow, the newspaper reports.
Just under 12,000 reader votes were cast and the adorable pigeons called Bushty and Snowball came top with 713 votes.
Twelve-year-old Kane who lives with his mum in Westray Avenue, Port Glasgow, was thrilled at the news.
"Over the last couple of days of the competition I couldn't believe how high the votes were for them. But I still thought it would be a dog or a cat that would win," he said.
The pigeons have landed the £100 star prize voucher from Morrisons, £50 Abbey Vets voucher and a professional pet portrait.
The competition opened on February 26th and finished on March 29th.
