A former star of Beverly Hills 90210 has spoken out about the comfort her farm animals have offered her in the wake of her divorce from Twilight star Peter Facinelli.
Let’s hope Jennie Garth has lots of worming tablets for her abundance of pets that include two goats, two horses, a pig, five cats and four dogs - all of whom have helped her through the split of her 11-year marriage.
The actress explained how the unconditional love shown by her farm friends has helped ease the pain of her marital breakdown, announced last month.
She said: “When you look into their eyes, and they look back at you, and they don’t want anything, they just want love.
“Whether I’m successful or not successful, whether I’m fat or thin, if I’m nice or if I’m not nice, they still love me.”
The 40-year-old has relocated to the Californian countryside with her three daughters and has been vocal about the difficulties of her divorce.
Garth recently admitted that she “resisted” the breakup and that it “took some time” to come to terms with.
