Charity urges people to foster a pet this Christmas

Thursday, 8th December 2011

The charities Central and North East London branch is looking for people to take in a cat or rabbit over the festive season.

Jenny Eden, branch manager, said: “We want to hear from people who would like to do something special and help an unwanted animal over Christmas.

“We take in so many cats that have been unloved, abused and dumped on the street and desperately want some comfort and some care.”

She added that animal lovers could give these animals their best Christmas ever. It may also help them get a new home in the New Year.

The branch will provide fosterers with a litter tray, a carrying basket and vet bills. They are asked to buy pet food.

This branch of the RSPCA is currently inundated with unwanted cats and it expects more to be abandoned over Christmas.
