A tiny puppy that was just a few weeks old was found dumped in a bin used for dog waste.
The puppy, who has been called Georgie, was discovered in Nottingham after being heard by a concerned family.
Luckily, Georgie was rescued and is now being cared for by the RSPCA by one of the staff members at the charity’s Radcliffe-on-Trent Animal Shelter.
Ella Herring, shelter manager, said: "She is very small so she is going to be fostered with a staff member rather than keep her in the kennels at the moment.
"Despite her terrible ordeal she is now a lot brighter and has perked up and has more energy.
"I just don’t understand why someone would dump her in a dog waste bin."
RSPCA inspector Chris Shaw added that it is ridiculous that someone would dump a defenceless puppy in a dog waste bin and that they are appealing for anyone who has information about this case of animal cruelty.
