A woman from Ulverston, Cumbria, whose Springer Spaniel is on pet medication for a heart problem, is trying to find the animal's previous owner before the dog dies.
Sam Reeves got Bailey in 2008 and as the dog only has months to live, she is trying to find the previous owner for raising and training it, reports thewestmorlandgazette.co.uk.
She told the news provider: "I can’t describe what Bailey's done for me.
"I had a car accident in May 2008 and I’m now retired. I have central spinal cord damage and have lost the use of my right hand and arm.
"I found a Springer Spaniel rescue society ... they found Bailey and he was absolutely amazing."
Bailey was owned by a woman known as Mrs Perkins who lived in Honest Toun, Musselburgh.
