Corrie star helps out with sick and injured pets

Actor William Roache is urging people to help sick and injured animals by raising money for pet meds through a Blue Cross Tea Party.

The Coronation Street star explained that as he is the owner of three Jack Russels and three ponies, he is well aware of the love and pleasure animals bring to people's lives.

The official date of the Blue Cross Tea Party is May 11th, and the charity is asking people to share a cup of tea and a piece of cake to raise money for the charity.

Mr Roache said: "Not all pets are lucky enough to have a safe and happy home. Blue Cross is a wonderful charity but they rely on donations from the public to provide this vital care for our nation’s pets. You can help by taking part in the Blue Cross Tea Party."

He added that just £25 will cover the cost of a kitten’s first vaccinations, so all the money raised will really count.
