Animal charity The Blue Cross to go Undercover Boss

Wednesday, 6th July 2011

The Blue Cross charity is to appear on Channel 4’s Undercover Boss as chief executive Kim Hamilton ditches her desk to hit the frontline aiding cats, dogs and many other furry friends.
The organisation, which specialises in homing abandoned pets and providing them with necessary animal pharmaceuticals, is debuting for charities represented on the hit show.

Ms Hamilton’s experience will see her welcoming five new kittens into the world as well as coming to face-to-face with a van of unwanted dogs.

Speaking about the task, she said: “In my time as a city banker and chief executive, I’ve often endured tough working days, long hours and impossible decisions, but I’ve never experienced such physical and emotional exhaustion as those days undercover at The Blue Cross.”

Undercover Boss follows a company head as they dress in disguise and slip into the working environment of their junior employees.

The show is now into its third series and will see six more bosses going undercover over the course of the season.

The episode will air on Tuesday 19th July at 9pm on Channel 4.
