Actress reveals her pooch may need pet meds

Tuesday, 19th July 2011

US actress Kristin Chenowerth has revealed that her pooch may be in need of pet medication, as the pup is set to have surgery on its leg.

Maltese pooch Maddie tore two ligaments in its leg, the actress revealed to fans on social networking website Twitter.

She wrote: "My little baby, Maddie, was playing with her buddy Pnut and the leg just went. She tore two ligaments.

"If everyone doesn't mind saying a prayer for Maddie, I'm not home and she will have leg surgery probably tomorrow."

Chenowerth, who won a Tony Award for her performance as Sally Brown in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, also revealed that this is not the first time her pooch has had to undergo surgery.

She explained Maddie had to have an operation on her leg four years ago and that her four-legged friend was diagnosed with pancreatitis in April.

It was recently announced that Chenowerth has been nominated for an Emmy Award for her role as April Rhodes in Glee.
