A Welsh woman is able to teach unruly pooches to behave when it comes to dog food, walks, pet toys and other areas that can cause bad behaviour.

Caroline Cowan, from Cardiff, has become a dog whisperer after finding she had a talent for getting into the mindset of pooches and sorting out their problems, reports Wales Online.

She told the news provider: "I don't know how I train dogs, it's quite instinctive, some of it, and with your own dogs it’s perfectly acceptable to be instinctive.

"But when you're offering your professional services to other people it's really important that you have an academic qualification."

Ms Cowan has a Higher National Certificate in canine behaviour, a Foundation Degree and a Bachelor of Science degree in canine behaviour and training.

Celebrity dog trainers include Victoria Stilwell from It's Me or the Dog and Cesar Millan from the Dog Whisperer.
